To be honest I knew from reviews that the game was so-so, but I at least expected it to output at the resolution they claimed and that I'd get to watch the movie in 1080i with readable subtitles. I just submitted a ticket with Midway's support so we will see what they have to say, but I gotta say this is a huge letdown for me.

When I switch the PS3 to 720p output again the subtitles are fine. So is anyone else having this issue? When I play Hardboiled it plays at 1080i, the bad part about that is that the subtitles are so small they are practically unreadable. If i change my PS3 to 720p output it then outputs at 720p and my receiver upscales it, however it looks pretty cruddy. However when I have my PS3 set to 1080i the game part of Stranglehold only outputs at 480p. My problem with stranglehold though is that the package say it supports 720p and 1080i. Motorstorm is a good example of a game that does that and looks great. But I also have a reciever that upscales to 1080i so when I get a game that is 720p it upscales it to 720p an every is pretty much fine. However I am one of those lucky people that has a 1080i rear projection TV that does not support 720p so in cases where a game does not display higher then 720p it reverts to 480p. I actually bought my PS3 several months ago when I heard Hardboiled would be on the Stranglehold collectors disc, and I've been very happy with my PS3 since. I just got my copy today after the long delays. So I'm curious if anyone who bought Stranglehold or the Collectors edition for Stranglehold is having the same issue I am.
